James Brereton
Marine Artist
James Brereton is a self-taught artist working mainly in oils and specialising in marine subjects, his favourite subject being deep water sailing ships of the nineteenth century. He has been painting for over fifty years and has produced in excess of three thousand pictures. His work has been exhibited at the Royal Society of Marine Artists and sold through the salerooms of Sotheby's and Christies, both in London and New York.
He is currently showing work in several UK galleries and is available for commission.
